2023-24

World Heart Day is a pivotal annual event which aims at raising cognizance and consciousness of heart illness and the range of cardiovascular diseases. It is observed on September 29 annually around the globe. The day is celebrated by organizing various activities and awareness events globally.

A healthy heart is a gift for life. With the changing lifestyle, people are at an increased risk for developing numerous diseases related to the heart. Keeping in view the genuine significance and purpose of this day, a Walkathon was organized by NHMMI- Narayana Superspeciality Hospital on 24 September, 2023 at Shankar Nagar. The students and staff of St. Vincent Pallotti College participated enthusiastically in it. They are an active and strenuous member of this event since 9 years.

The main objective to organize this rally every year is to unfurl and spread awareness among people about heart ailments and how to keep it fit. Speaking on this occasion the Principal expressed his pretentious thoughts to enlighten the students and staff. Expressing his wisdom he said that Brisk Walk is one of the best exercises to keep oneself away from these life threatening diseases. He advised everyone to inculcate the habit of regular exercise in their routine work. He expressed his heart felt gratitude to the organizing team and their members to come forward for this noble cause and to bring awareness among the people. All the participants were felicitated with the Certificates by NHMMI- Narayana Superspeciality Hospital.

In a remarkable display of dedication and skill, students from St. Vincent Pallotti College in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, participated in a Yoga Asana World Record event organized by the Chhattisgarh Yog Aayog Mandali. The event took place at the prestigious Sardar Balveer Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium on September 10, 2023.

The event witnessed an extraordinary gathering of yoga enthusiasts from across the region, coming together to promote the age-old practice of yoga. St. Vincent Pallotti College students stood out with their exceptional performance, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance.

The students, under the guidance of their dedicated instructors, showcased their flexibility, strength, and inner peace through a series of intricate yoga poses. Their synchronized movements and unwavering focus drew admiration from the audiences.

Principal, Mr.Kuldeep Dubey who graced the occasion, expressed his appreciation for the college's participation in this prestigious event. He emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being and praised the students for their dedication and hard work.

In a resounding display of commitment to environmental conservation, NCC cadets spearheaded the "Puneet Sagar Abhiyan," a program aimed at ridding the environment of water pollution. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from both teachers and students, earning commendations from the college principal.

Taking place on 9 September, 2023,at Marine Drive, Raipur, the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan brought together over 40 NCC cadets, who were determined to make a positive impact on their local water bodies. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and an unwavering spirit, the cadets embarked on a mission to remove waste from various water bodies and their beautification in the city.

The program's primary focus was on raising awareness about the detrimental effects of water pollution and encouraging responsible disposal of waste material and industrial effluents.

The support of teachers and students was instrumental in the success of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan. Educators played a pivotal role in organizing awareness workshops, while students actively participated in the cleanup activities, showing their commitment to a cleaner, greener environment.

Principal Mr.Kuldeep Dubey impressed by the cadets' dedication and the positive impact of the program, expressed his appreciation and commended the NCC cadets, teachers, and students for their collective effort in making a difference and urged everyone to continue their eco-conscious endeavors.
