A workshop on the Copyright Registration Process was held on 5th September 2025, organized by Research Cell of the college, to raise awareness about copyright laws and educate the faculty members of the college on the procedure for registering creative works. The session was led by Dr. Pooja Rathi, convener, Research Cellwho provided a comprehensive overview of the Copyright Act, 1957. The workshop focused on the types of works eligible for copyright, the importance of copyright protection, and the step-by-step online registration process. Participants were guided through application filing, fee structures, timelines, and the process of addressing objections.

The workshop was highly interactive, with a Q&A session allowing attendees to clarify doubts regarding their own works and legal protections. Participants gained a clear understanding of the legal framework for copyright and expressed increased confidence in registering their creative works. It successfully met its objective of educating creators about protecting their original works and clarified several misconceptions regarding the legal process.


2025-26

The Research Cell of St. Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur organized an informative session for the supporting staff of the college on the topic “Health and Nutrition”, in the AVA Room of the college on 4th October2025. The Primary objective of the programme was to promote physical well-being, encourage preventive healthcare practices and create awareness about maintaining a healthy lifestyle among the staff members. The session was conducted by Dr. Gunjan Baid, (physiotherapist), a renowned expert in the field of health and wellness.

The program was especially organized for the non-teaching and supporting staff of the college to promote awareness about healthy living and proper nutrition in daily life.
During the session, Dr. Gunjan Baid emphasized on the importance of a balanced diet, regular physical activity and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to improve overall well-being. She shared valuable tips on managing diet, stress and daily routines effectively. As part of the session, she demonstrated a few simple physical exercises that can be easily included in daily routines to improve overall health. The session was highly interactive, with enthusiastic participation from the members who asked questions and shared their experiences. The event concluded with a vote of thanks during which Dr. Pooja Rathi, Convenor of the Research committee extended Special thanks to the Principal, Vice Principal and Research cell members for their support and efforts in making the event a success.

 



Theme: Holistic Approach – Empowering Educators

Tostrengthen the professional capabilities and holistic development of facultymembers, St. Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur organized a five-day FacultyDevelopment Program (FDP) on the theme "Holistic Approach –Empowering Educators" from 29th July to 2nd August 2025. Theprogram was jointlyorganized by, the IQAC andResearch Cell of St. Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur, incollaboration with Durga Mahavidyalaya, Raipur.

Theobjective of the FDP was to offer a well-rounded platform for educators to enhancetheir emotional, intellectual, physical, and technological capacities,fostering innovation and reflective academic practices.

Faculty Development Program commencedwith a grand inaugural sessionon 29th July 2025, in theesteemed presence of Prof. S. K. Pandey, Former Vice Chancellor of Pt.Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, as the Chief Guest.

ThePrincipal of the college, Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, welcomed the dignitariesand participants, highlighting the vision of the college to continually investin faculty upskilling.

In his thought-provoking address, Prof. S. K.Pandey, Former Vice Chancellor of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University,Raipur spoke passionately about the harmoniousdevelopment of students in light of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He highlighted the relevance of the Indian Knowledge System(IKS) in today’s academic framework, urging educators to recognize andintegrate the age-old wisdom embedded in India's cultural and scientificheritage. He further emphasized that the teacher’s role in implementing the NEP is not limited tocurriculum delivery but involves being a facilitator of holistic learning,value education, and lifelong curiosity.

Dr. Protibha Mukherjee Sahukar,Principal, Durga Mahavidyalaya, Raipur, was also present andpresented her reflections on the theme of the FDP. She appreciated therelevance of the chosen topics and emphasized how such programs significantlycontribute to the professional development and upliftment of academic staff.

The event was successfully coordinated under theleadership of Dr. G. Padma Gouri, Vice Principal, and Dr.Pooja Rathi, Head, Department of Computer Science, who served as the OrganizingSecretaries.

Onthe first day, Dr. J. C. Ajawani, Psychologist and Academician,delivered a session on “Emotional Intelligence for Educators.” Hediscussed the importance of self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, andhow these attributes contribute to a positive classroom environment andimproved student-teacher relationships. The session helped educators reflect ontheir emotional well-being and its impact on teaching effectiveness.

 

 

Thesecond day, 30th July, featured a session by Dr. Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi,Asst. Professor, Govt. College for Teacher Education, on “IndianKnowledge System – Integration of IKS

inCurriculum.” She presented deep insights intoIndia’s rich educational traditions, ancient scientific thought, and thephilosophical foundations of learning. The session focused on practicalstrategies for integrating these elements into the modern academic curriculumin line with the NEP’s vision.

Onthe third day, 31st July, Dr. Vivek Bhartiya, Director, AarogyaMandir and Ananda Yoga, spoke on “Physical and Mental Health forEducators.” His talk emphasized the interconnectedness of physical andmental well-being in academic productivity. He also suggested daily routines,breathing techniques, and stress-relief strategies that educators canincorporate into their lifestyles for sustained wellness.

Thefourth day, 1st August, featured a highly interactive session by Dr.S. B. Kishor,  HOD (Computer Science),Sardar Patel  Mahavidyalaya,  Chandrapur (MH), on “Use of AI Toolsin Research.” Dr. Kishor introduced participants to a range of artificialintelligence-powered research tools for literature review, data analysis, contentgeneration, plagiarism checking, and citation management. Faculty membersengaged actively and gained hands-on knowledge on how AI can significantlyenhance research quality and efficiency.

Thefinal session of the FDP was held on 2nd August, where Mr. PankajTiwari, Director (CCRC) KalingaUniversity, Raipur, delivered an impactful session on “Reimagining theRole of Faculty: From Knowledge Providers to Career Enablers and InnovationMentors.” He challenged conventional notions of teaching and emphasizedthat modern educators must become facilitators of innovation and skilldevelopment. The session stressed the need for faculty to nurtureentrepreneurial mindsets, support students in career planning, and keep up withrapidly evolving educational technologies.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by Prof.(Dr.) Shailendra Kumar Singh, Former Vice Chancellor of Shaheed MahendraKarma Vishwavidyalaya, Bastar and MATS University. In his address,he appreciated the college's efforts to promote holistic development andacknowledged the relevance of the chosen topics in empowering today’seducators. He encouraged faculty members to become lifelong learners andembrace new-age pedagogies. The program saw active participation from facultymembers across various colleges, creating a vibrant space for knowledge sharingand interdisciplinary growth. Certificatesof participation were distributed to all the attendees. Feedback fromparticipants highlighted the relevance, excellence, and enriching nature of thesessions.

The Vote of Thanks was deliveredby Dr. Yashswee Lonkar, IQAC Coordinator, who expressedheartfelt gratitude to all the speakers, guests, participants, and supportstaff for making the FDP a grand success. The FDP proved to be a significantinitiative towards empowering educators through a balanced focus on emotionalintelligence, traditional knowledge, physical and mental wellness, digitalliteracy, and future-ready pedagogy.
